You should talk to a doctor or medical professional about ways on how to prevent unwanted blood clots. If the doctor feels you are at a high risk of developing abnormal blood clots or blood-related disorders, the doctor may decide to put you under a medication course.
The doctor will recommend prescriptions depending on assessment of the individual at risk. Over-the-counter prescription may be provided to allow patients to be under medication on their own but with the same plan of preventing the occurrence of unwanted blood clot.
9. Natural treatment options
Natural treatment using a grain of salt can be considered as a home remedy against blood clotting. Nutrients contained in salt grain can be helpful in reducing blood clotting especially in cancer patients.

A small amount of alcohol in the body will help the individual reduce the formation and build up of fibrinogen, a protein which when activated converts to fibrin in order for blood clotting to occur.
The intake of alcohol should strictly be a small amount since increased percentage of alcohol in the body can be dangerous to the person’s health.
