5. Hematologic side effects
This side effect has reportedly resulted to platelets dysfunction. This causes an increase in bleeding times, eosinophilia, decreased hematocrit and granulocytopenia.

With excessive exposure to the sun, the skin may erupt and resemble porphyria cutanea tarda.
Aleve drugs are also associated with photosensitivity reactions.
9. Hepatic side effects
This side effect is associated with the functioning of the liver. Aleve drugs elevate the function of the liver three times the normal functioning.
It is advisable to have regular liver function test in patients who suffer from liver disease. The side effect can lead to jaundice and hepatitis.
10. Metabolic side effects
Use of Aleve drug has also been associated with other metabolic complications. The metabolic side effects that are associated with Aleve drugs include hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia.
